Woher kommt das?는 스톱모션 애니메이션 기법을 사용하여 만든 짧은 영상이다. 작가가 내성천 영주댐 주변에서 찍은 지질적 광물 이미지를 배경으로 동그란 형태의 드로잉, 비누, 거품, 여러 크기의 렌즈, 빨갛게 잘 익은 토마토가 화면 속에 나타났다 사라진다. 각각의 아이템들은 작가의 전작에 등장했던 요소들로 이 작품 안에서 작가의 손에 의해 즉흥적으로 새로운 관계를 만들어 낸다. 무기질적 요소와 유기물적 요소들이 서로 대비를 이루는 가운데 원형(圓形)의 것들로 우리의 원형(原型), 즉 우리는 어디에서 왔는가를 질문한다. 서로 다른 시간대에 존재했던 작품들은 마치 하나의 유기체와 같이 분리되고 다시 연결되고 예측하지 못했던 형태로 진화하는데 이러한 과정까지 작업의 일부가 된다.

<Where does it come from?> is a short stop motion animation. On the background is an image of geological minerals photographed by the artist around Yeongju dam in Naeseong-cheon, and on the screen, round drawings, soap, bubbles, variously sized lenses, and red ripe tomatoes appear and disappear. Each item is an element that appeared in past works of the artist, which improvise new relationships in the video by the artist’s hands. As the organic and inorganic elements form contrast, we question our origin(原型) through the spherical(圓形); where we come from. The works that existed at different times continue to separate, reconnect, and evolve into unexpected forms, as if one organism — and this process becomes a part of the work.
